GROUPIE (GROUPY)

1. A fan of a rock group who usually follows the group around on concert tours.
2. An admirer of a celebrity who attends as many of his or her public appearances as possible.

Example:
The term groupie can have negative or dirty connotations outside of the simple admiration of a band. A groupie is also known as person who seeks emotional and sexual intimacy with a musician or other celebrity. Many fans use the word in a more general sense, especially in casual conversation.
